Meta sought permission to appeal the Tribunal’s decision to allow Dr Gormsen to amend her claim to seek what are known as “user damages”. Following a hearing on 8-9 July 2026, the Court of Appeal refused every ground of Meta’s appeal. Its judgment can be read here, and the hearing can be viewed here. Meta has now applied to the Court of Appeal for permission to appeal that decision to the Supreme Court, and we are awaiting determination of that application.
